The colours in this image are very bright and it shows how colour can be used to create an illusion. I like this image, the colours give me a good feeling.

this is shape because it has squares that make up a circle, shapes making other shapes.

This is a photo of a roof of some building. Notice how there are lines going in different directions and crossing each other. All the llines create a texture wich creates a bigger piece of atrwork. Texture can be used to give feeling and mood to a design.

If you look closely, you can see that this whole scene is just one line. The artist twistes and curves the line to give it an assemblance of motion, direction, rhythm etc.

This painting by Seurat shows a good example of balance. Most the characters in the painting are facing or pointing up to the left. The Chello creates a point of symetry and makes balance on both sides.

Here is a picture a house someone has designed with variety in mind. There are a variety of shapes and directions: the chair is round, the couch and the side table is square. The stairs go diagonally yet there is a horizontal beam going across. It is a very visually busy room.

This poster shows emphasis. The picture is mostly blue, but then there are bright red lips right in the center. Then lines of the cracks seem to point towards the mouth and the mouth is in the centre of the pic.

This is an example of rhythm because there is consintency in the water falls and the water flows left and right. This picture has a pattern > rhythm.

This is an example of Harmony not just because it says harmony on it, the colours all complement each oher with various shades of light to dark yellow. Also the chinese symbol creates a feeling of balance and harmony.

Here is an example of Proportion, the trees in the foreground look bigger than the other trees. Also the hills have a proportional relationship to each other.
